This project focuses on the design and production of a clamshell-style hangtag for the Abercrombie & Fitch YPB Iconic Tote Bag. The goal was to create a mechanical art layout that effectively showcases the product's features, dimensions, and materials while maintaining Abercrombie & Fitch’s branding and premium aesthetic.

Design Process

1. Concept Development

• Researched Abercrombie & Fitch's brand identity, typography, and color schemes to maintain consistency.

• Established the core messaging: highlighting the tote’s functionality, quality, and travel-friendly features.

• Designed iconography and layout to enhance readability and visual appeal.

3. Material & Print Considerations

• Premium 16 pt. cardstock with a matte finish for a sleek, high-end look.

• Reinforced with a grommet hole for durability.

• CMYK color mode for consistent print output.

• Designed for string attachment for easy display on retail shelves.

2. Structural Layout & Mechanics

• Developed a clamshell-style tag with an intuitive fold structure.

• Incorporated a supplemental tag with graphics to grab attention at first look.

• Ensured a balanced layout of text, imagery, and barcode placement for seamless in-store scanning.
